/v1/videos exists but has no supported provider since OpenAI shut down its Videos API on 2026-09-24.
No supported provider
OpenAI shut down its Sora 2 models and Videos API on 2026-09-24. The gateway's video support targeted that API, so POST /v1/videos now validates the request and returns 400 unsupported_capability before anything is charged or sent. A video adapter for OpenRouter is planned.
What remains:
GET /v1/videosandGET /v1/videos/{id}read jobs created before the shutdown from the gateway's own records.GET /v1/videos/{id}/contentand refreshing an old job call the retired API and fail.- In Admin, the Video model type is shown as unavailable ("No supported provider yet"), and existing video models show Provider API retired.
The request contract the planned adapter will serve: model, prompt (up to 32 KiB), seconds (4, 8 or 12), size (720x1280, 1280x720, 1024x1792 or 1792x1024), as JSON or multipart. Remixes, edits, extensions and reference images are not supported. Jobs are one attempt and one hold each, priced per second of video by resolution, and take a jobs-at-once slot.
