Open Model Gatewaydocs

Quick tour

Signing in, the Workspace and Admin portals, the sidebar, search and notifications.

A walk around the Open Model Gateway dashboard, so the rest of these docs make sense.

Signing in

The dashboard has one way in: Sign in with single sign-on, through your organisation's identity provider. There are no local passwords and no development login.

Signing in only proves who you are. If you have no platform role yet, the page says No access yet and asks you to contact a platform admin. Once you have a role, your first sign-in also creates your personal workspace.

Two portals

Everyone sees the Workspace portal. Platform Admins and Auditors also see a Portal switch at the top of the sidebar, with Workspace and Admin.

Workspace

The sidebar has two groups:

  • Workspace: Home, your own summary across every workspace you belong to: the models you can use, your usage this month (spent, requests, tokens) and your API keys.
  • A group named after the selected workspace, with the pages for that workspace: Overview, Models, API keys, Logs, Files, Usage & costs and Settings. Pages you can't use there are not shown.

The workspace selector at the top lists your workspaces under Personal, Teams and Projects. You only see workspaces you are a member of; a platform role never adds entries to it.

Admin

The Admin portal is for the whole installation. Auditors see the same pages read-only, marked Platform auditor: Configuration and totals, read-only.

Everywhere

  • Search: press ⌘ K or Ctrl K to jump to any page or workspace you can open. Search never looks inside requests or keys.
  • Notifications: the bell in the top bar shows how many alerts are unread. See Alerts and notifications.
  • Your account menu (bottom of the sidebar): Your profile, Reload my access (after someone changes your roles), the theme (System, Light, Dark) and Sign out.
  • Links are shareable. Every page has its own address. If someone sends you a link to something you can't see, the page says so instead of showing it.

A Platform Admin who is not a member of a Team sees its configuration but not its keys or requests. To work inside a Team, an admin needs a membership like anyone else.

Phones

The dashboard works at phone width: the sidebar becomes a menu, and page headers collapse their secondary actions into a ⋯ button.
