Open Model Gatewaydocs

v0.1.0

The first release of the single-enterprise gateway, with workspaces, catalogs, price lines, stacked budgets, many workloads and providers, logs, Admin settings and the dashboard.

Released 2026-10-08. The first release of Open Model Gateway as a gateway for one enterprise, rebuilt from an earlier multi-organisation prototype on a new database schema.

Installation and people

  • One installation per enterprise, with Platform User, Auditor and Admin roles that sign-in alone never grants.
  • Roles and memberships from signed OIDC group claims, kept separate from manual grants.
  • Teams and Projects as sibling shared workspaces, and a private personal workspace for everyone with a role.
  • A 30-day grace period when someone loses access, after which the account is cleaned up while history is kept. Revoked keys never come back.
  • Least-privilege database roles with reviewed table and column grants.

Models and money

  • Multiple catalogs, with live defaults per workspace type, replacements per workspace and direct assignments.
  • Price lines in exact integer micro-dollars, including cache reads and writes, prompt-size tiers and per-image, per-character and per-second prices, published as immutable versions.
  • Conservative holds before each request, stacked budgets per day, week, month and lifetime at every layer, reconciliation with evidence, and reports where unknown is never zero.

Workloads and providers

  • Chat Completions, Responses, Messages, embeddings, image generation, speech to text, text to speech, rerank and System One decisions.
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock (server identity, named profiles and assumed roles, optional VPC endpoint), OpenRouter (with price import from its public catalog), and approved self-hosted vLLM, SGLang, Ollama and OpenAI-compatible servers.

Dashboard

  • A Workspace portal with Home, Overview, Models, API keys, Logs, Usage & costs and Settings, and an Admin portal for the installation.
  • Logs with Requests, Generations and Sessions views, per-attempt timing and tokens, and X-Session-Id and X-Title labels.
  • Admin › Settings: General, Defaults & limits, Data & privacy, Email and Sign-in.

Installing

Migrations 0001 to 0010, on an empty database. See Self-hosting.
